Snow in Winter? One of the FAQ by travellers is ab Snow in Winter?
One of the FAQ by travellers is about snow and low temperatures in Umbria.

❄️ Snow is not so common, but it depends on the areas. Despite we are a very small region, we have three valleys and different climates.
The mountains on the Eastern border belonging to the Appennines are usually covered by snow, as well as, sometimes Martani, our pre-appennines, close to us.
Snow depends on the elevation and location.

❄️Our town Todi, that's on a hill around 400 mt. above the sea level is very well protected as it's located in the middle of the River Tiber valley. The artificial lake Corbara, made in the early 60s, in between Todi and Orvieto, also plays an important role in our climate mitigation.
The micro-climates in Umbria are very important in farming and especially in wine making.
